What to Wear: Scarves Part 2

It is scarf season. I am trying my best to wear more scarves to 're-vamp' outfits I have had forever.
I just didn't love any of the scarves I already had.

I found this gem at Wal-Mart of all places! It's really cute on and goes with everything. My sister got it in turquoise.

Amber (my sister) gave me four of her scarves to wear for a bit. I gave her four of mine this week too. Just mixing and matching.
I love this one of hers!

Thick, infinity scarves are my favorite and I prefer them to have some length to them.

Bryan, Oliver, and I did some shopping Thursday while Noah was at school. Oliver was a happy boy. He loves to shop! He gets so excited if you say, "Do you want to go shopping?"

What To Wear: Scarves Part 1

I am determined to actually wear my scarves this Fall/Winter. I have so many but rarely wear them. I love them on other people but I'm never crazy for what they do for me... I'm still in search for a perfect scarf for me! Until then... here are a few I have worn this fall.

Stripes on Stripes???
My sister definatly gave me a look this day like ... "What are you wearing?" I'm really not sure... I just tried it and to be honest ... it is kind of growing on me... I may wear this combination again.

Black.
You can barely see this one... but this is currently my favorite scarf I own. I like big, fluffy scarves. This one is black and it flows and fluffs..... what I feel like a scarf should do.

Here is another shot..... although that gorgeous camel kind of stole the show.
It has lots of details that you can't see unless you really look close.... I kind of love that.

Make-shift Infinity
This is not an infinity scarf... I tied the ends and made it one, because I love infinity scarves but don't own that many. I try a lot on, but rarely buy them because like I said earlier... I have a hard time finding scarves I like.

I'm also on a tight budget, always. All of these scarves were gifts from previous Christmas's. All of them two or more years old.
The Scarf-Capades will continue you on. I know you are shaking in your boots to see more from my closet.
Riveting stuff.

What To Wear: Dinner Out with the Kids

So- if you are like me. You have very few date nights but several oportunities to go out on the town with your children.

I love them... but dinner out is a completely different experience with them than without. Sometimes it doesn't even seem worth it.

I like to dress up... show a little extra skin when I go on a date night... .but a casual dinner out with the boys on my hips and hanging on my legs... I prefer something like this!

The shirt is a Lauren Conrad from Kohl's last season. Mint shorts are from last summer at Anne Taylor. Necklace was from my Happy Mommy Box this month!

I felt comfortable, cool (temperature wise), and still cool(as in hip)! :)

I am really liking wearing shorts and 'dressing them up'.

Here is another idea for a day lunch with the kiddos.
Melon V-neck from Wal-Mart ($4), Boyfriend shorts from Old Navy (See my last post), Stella and Dot studs
I love a v-neck tee, a good accessory (Scarf, earrings, necklace, cute shoe), and an awesome short for ALL summer.... anything you do!

Okay... maybe not a wedding or Sunday school... but I'll post good ideas for those events soon!
